The University of California, San Diego (http://pediatrics.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics within the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego is currently seeking to fill the position of Division Chief.

The Division Chief will report to the Chair of the Department and work closely with the other Division Chiefs and Vice Chairs in the Department of Pediatrics. The Division Chief will oversee the clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division, lead recruiting efforts, and ensure career mentoring for all faculty and fellows in the Division. The Division Chief also will be expected to support the mission of delivering high-quality care, teaching, and scholarly activities, while promoting an environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusivity among faculty, students, and staff.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
