Job Description

Prospect Management Analyst – Ferris State University. 

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement, the Prospect Management Analyst will assist in managing Advancement fundraising operations and fundraising needs. This position works independently and in collaboration with other staff to support the Advancement goals by identifying and qualifying annual, mid-level, major, planned and leadership gift prospects. In addition, this position creates written reports, profiles, and briefings for Advancement staff, including the President. The Prospect Management Analyst plays a key role in designing, managing and implementing a comprehensive prospect management and prospect system. The prospect management analyst will assist in functions that are essential to the efficient and effective execution of the University’s fundraising, volunteer engagement, and campaign efforts. This position will collaborate with all team members within University Advancement and Marketing, The Ferris Foundation, and colleagues across campus to ensure University Advancement is effectively building a culture of increasing philanthropy and volunteer leadership. The Prospect Management Analyst provides support to inform prospect management strategies for fundraising staff. This position will work with the AVP to build and maintain fundraising portfolios, implement methods to evaluate portfolio productivity, monitor fundraising activity, and help to ensure the effective and timely capture of relationship and constituent data. This position does have the ability to have a dual office reporting structure in Big Rapids and Grand Rapids.

Required: Bachelor’s degree with at least 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in research or prospect management/prospect development, or a combination of experience and education.
