Under the general supervision of the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research & Compliance provides specialized data management and reporting of institutional data. Assists the Director in the day-to-day functions of the office and serves as interim director in their absence. Writes programs for data collection from multiple databases and coordinates the distribution of data to campus decision makers and other on-campus and off-campus audiences about trends, developments, policies, and practices that impact upon the success of USCA, its students, and its programs.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of related experience; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred; familiarity with USC system databases is desirable, as is knowledge of SPSS, SAS, or Data Analyzer. Experience with query programming languages such as SQL, Cognos, or Oracle is preferred. Also preferred is experience with Decision Support and/or Business Intelligence software.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to interpret data requests, analyze requirements, and write computer programs to access data management information reports. Proficiency in working with large databases in a PC, oracle, and SQL environment to gather specific and accurate data. Must be proficient with Dreamweaver or other web authoring software and MS Office including Excel.
