ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Instructor of Composition
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary: The Instructor of Composition, a full-time faculty member of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Mass Communication, primarily teaches composition courses and appropriate upper- and lower- division courses in technical writing. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, typically consisting of composition courses and technical/professional writing courses. Teaching may involve online, hybrid, and/or distance delivery modalities.
Required Qualifications:
• MA in English, Rhetoric or Composition Studies (or a related field)
• Documentation of successful experience teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition strongly preferred.
• Evidence of excellence in working with undergraduate students, particularly with S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) students
