Lecturer — Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (https://www.pbs.umass.edu/) invites applications for a full-time, Academic Year Lecturer to start in the Fall of 2023. The successful candidate will teach 2-3 on-campus undergraduate Psychology courses per semester and participate in assigned service on departmental committees relevant to undergraduate teaching and support. The position is non-tenure track with potential for promotion and a continuing appointment.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, expertise relevant to teaching Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and/or Research Methods, as well as teaching developmental and/or clinical psychology. Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence and an ability to work with diverse populations/students. Successful candidates will be skilled in teaching both large classes and small seminars. Candidates with expertise in diversity science or with experience in integrating diversity related content into psychology courses are especially encouraged to apply.
