Christian Brothers University School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Management beginning Fall 2023. Rank commensurate with experience. Applicants should have earned a PhD or DBA in Management with specialization in Business Policy/Strategic Planning. The faculty member will teach 4 courses per semester (Fall/Spring), advise students, participate in curriculum development and service activities, and engage in scholarly and/or professional activities. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and an appreciation of the Lasallian mission. The School of Business seeks a dynamic colleague with the ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate level subjects related to Management. The School promotes a student-centric teaching-learning model. The successful candidate’s teaching philosophy should reflect an emphasis on student engagement and development.
This position presents the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to help develop students into ethical leaders who embrace social responsibility in addition to keen business acumen. The candidate will play an active role in the continuous improvement and design of an innovative curriculum that meets the needs of future business leaders. Faculty and students in the School are able to engage with the Memphis community through internships, projects, our Center for Community Engagement, our Institute for Leadership Development, and our Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The faculty of the School of Business takes pride in walking alongside each student during his or her academic career. The School presently offers the B.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Finance, B.S in Management, B.S. in Marketing, and the B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Banking, International Business, Management Information Systems, and Sport Management. At the graduate level, the School offers the Master of Accounting (MAcc), the Master of Business Administration (MBA), and an MBA in Healthcare Management.
Requirements:
- PhD or DBA in Management.
- Qualified to teach Business Policy/Strategic Planning.
- Teaching experience strongly preferred.
