Job Description
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X series at the Associate Professor rank in General Internal Medicine. This position will also serve as Executive Director of Digital Transformation at UC Davis Health.
Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in clinical activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.
As Executive Director of Digital Transformation, the successful candidate will also lead the UC Davis Health Operational Center of Excellence and be responsible to:
• Plan, execute and evaluate large scale enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts to support operations, patient experience and population health teams at UC Davis Health
• Support digital health education and research through grand rounds, digital health curriculum, training and engagement with national societies
• Partner with key stakeholders within and outside IT including UC Davis Health executives, clinicians, population health leaders and researchers to support Digital Davis and fulfill UC Davis Health vision of delivering tomorrow’s healthcare today.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and expertise in clinical informatics. The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualification include an MD, MD/PHD or DO degree or equivalent degree, Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse team environment is required.
