The Assistant Director for Admissions & Diversity within the Graduate Studies Office (GSO) in the School of Medicine (SOM) represents all SOM graduate programs (PhD, MS, certificate) at local and national recruiting events, and spearheads the marketing of all the programs via social media and customer relationship management systems. In addition to managing graduate recruiting and admissions, this administrator designs and implements diversity and inclusion initiatives, and coordinates the summer undergraduate research program. The responsibilities of this position include: making recommendations to improve methods for marketing, recruiting and admissions; relevant data collection and reporting; supervision of exempt and non-exempt staff; budget oversight. This leadership position within the GSO interacts with faculty, staff and students at Pitt as well as those external to the University.

A graduate degree in the biomedical sciences, and/or experience in graduate student recruitment and admissions, is desirable.
