POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Mathematics and Actuarial Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position in Statistics, to begin August 1, 2023. We are seeking candidates from Statistics or a closely related field such as Actuarial Science, Data Science or Applied Mathematics with a demonstrated interest in areas such as machine learning, computational statistics, advanced statistical modeling, data science, etc. Successful applicants are expected to have completed their Ph.D. by August 2023. The rank is open, and the contract is for 9.5 months with a competitive salary and 3-2 teaching load. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching, mentoring of students, and active scholarship; scholarship providing research opportunities for undergraduates will be considered favorably. Applicants with a record of or interest in program building at the graduate or undergraduate levels are particularly encouraged to apply.
