Job Description

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE OR STUDIES TEACHING FELLOWSHIP, WESTMINSTER COLLEGE. Westminster College’s (New Wilmington, PA) Center for the Environment invites applications for the Diversity Teaching Fellows Program beginning August 2023. The Diversity Teaching Fellows Program serves as a professional development opportunity, with structured mentoring, for scholars from historically minoritized groups who are interested in careers at primarily undergraduate institutions. The Teaching Fellowship is an annual nine-month contract renewable for up to three years.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. /ABD in environmental science or studies or a related field. The teaching responsibilities for this position include introductory and special topics environmental coursework, concomitant with his/her expertise. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Westminster College First-Year Program, mentor undergraduates in research, and participate in educational outreach programs for the Center for the Environment.
