The Opportunity: The College of Business, Leadership and Ethics is home of the Dahl School of Business, the Center for Professional Learning, and the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership. The Dahl School of Business offers eight undergraduate programs, two MBA programs, a Master of Arts in Servant Leadership, and a doctorate in Ethical Leadership. The school seeks qualified applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Leadership and Management beginning in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership and management. Classes may include principles of management, managerial statistics, finance, operations management, servant leadership, change leadership, strategy, human resource management, or international management. The teaching load is 4:4 with possible opportunities to teach over the summer. The position also requires advising business majors and minors, mentoring students seeking internship and job placement, fostering relationships with aligned professional organizations, assisting with curriculum management, participating in campus committees, assisting in student recruitment for the program, and engaging in the academic life of the College. Candidates must be innovative in their active learning pedagogical approach with an understanding of the skills and technological literacy required to lead in a global environment. This position places a strong emphasis on teaching, advising, scholarship, and service, embodying the core values of the university.

Qualifications: The successful candidate shall have: (1) master’s degree (e.g., MBA); an earned doctorate in Leadership, Management, or a closely related field is preferred; (2) higher education teaching experience is highly desirable; (3) an active agenda of scholarship and professional activity in academia and/or industry preferred. Experience with basic classroom technology is preferred. A doctoral degree is required for immediate tenure track appointment.
