Job Summary: The Housing Administration Specialist provides excellent customer service and accurate information to students, parents, and families in an office setting via email, phone, and in person. The incumbent assists with student contracting, assignments, billing, cancellation, and communication within the utilized housing software (will receive training) and routinely meets with students and family members to discuss housing options and amenities, the contracts and assignments process, room changes, and other departmental procedures related to Housing. This position will conduct training for the Student Desk Assistant position along with timesheet review and approval and will oversee the following office processes: building card and keybox access, Human Resources on-boarding, required training audits of Housing staff, and office supply ordering and inventory. This position will also assist with departmental marketing efforts including social media accounts. Lastly, this position may assist in office closing preparation related to severe weather or unplanned University closures. This position works in an environment requiring strong emphasis on providing superior customer service that supports the University and Departmental mission and values.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Preferred Qualifications: Department of Housing and Residence life work experience; computer operations and software knowledge at an intermediate level; Housing contract and room assignment work experience. Experience with Human Resources and on-boarding tasks.
