Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is seeking our next Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator, working with our affiliate partner Renown Health. The CME Coordinator is responsible for developing, supporting and implementing certified CME activities for Renown Health medical staff. This position is housed in the UNR Med Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) and reports to the Director of Continuing Medical Education. The CME Coordinator functions within the guidelines of the American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) under the auspices of the OCME and in collaboration with Renown. The CME Coordinator exercises autonomous and independent judgment to plan CME activities. This position will work with faculty and staff from throughout the University of Nevada, Reno and Renown, as well as internal and external partners.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently manage programs with an eye for detail, efficiency and accessibility. Experience with establishing and maintaining programmatic documentation and reporting, budget oversight, event planning and marketing will be critical to success in the role. Effective communication (both written and verbal) is essential – this role will require the successful candidate to describe complex processes and provide direction to stakeholders at all levels between institutions. Forging a strong, collaborative relationship with Renown Medstaff, Nursing Education, Marketing and other units lies at the center of this role. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related professional experience OR
Master’s Degree and two years of related professional work experience
Related Experience: Experience in event planning, professional education, healthcare or related field.

Total Compensation
The total compensation package includes a competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a generous retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, thirty (30) days of sick leave provided upon start date and two (2) days of sick leave accrued per full month after the first year of service, two (2) days of annual leave accrued each full month, along with many other benefits.
