Description:

 

Position Summary

UIC has a large medical school and OB/GYN faculty are actively involved with teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. In addition to general OB/GYN, the Division has Global Women’s Health, Family Planning and FPMRS Sections.

The Department has an accredited OB/GYN Residency Program with 7 residents per year. The ideal candidate must demonstrate experience and excellence in general obstetrics and gynecology, including ambulatory care, gynecologic surgery and inpatient obstetrical care. Experience teaching/supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows highly preferred. Must have great communications skills.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Demonstrate experience and excellence in general obstetrics and gynecology, including ambulatory care, gynecologic surgery and obstetrical care

Teaching/supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows

In-house Labor and Delivery, and Obstetrical Emergency Room coverage as attending physician

Serve on committees as nominated by Department leadership

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have MD degree or equivalent, be licensed as a physician in Illinois, and be Board Certified/Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
