Pulmonary Hypertension – Assistant Professor in Clinical X or HSCP series – Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Internal Medicine: Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for 1 full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant Professor rank in Pulmonary Hypertension. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.

EXPECTATIONS
The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and an interest in Pulmonary Hypertension. Provide outpatient care of patients with pulmonary
vascular disease. Provide inpatient care including pulmonary consults, full scope of critical care including primary management of ECMO patients. The
incumbent will work directly with the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program to help grow population heath-diversity and equity research program.
The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in appropriate professional societies and
educational organizations. Provide service to department and school committees
This recruitment is conducted at the assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant rank, regardless of the proposed appointee’s qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
• Candidates must have M.D. or M.D. and Ph.D. or D.O. or equivalent degree
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
• Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine
• Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of California
• ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
• Research experience to help strengthen the academic impact of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
• Strong clinical skills and interest in pulmonary vascular diseases and associate health outcomes research.
