The New School is a new kind of university in New York City, one where scholars, artists, and designers come together to challenge convention and create positive change. Since 1919, The New School has redrawn and redefined the boundaries of intellectual and creative thought as a preeminent academic center. Our rigorous, multidimensional approach to education dissolves walls between disciplines and helps nurture progressive minds. We are committed to developing students who will have an impact on the world and address the most pressing social issues of our time.

Reporting to the Assistant Provost, Curriculum and Learning, the ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, collaborative, and committed to actionable outcomes assessment for the improvement of student learning. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and being flexible to changing priorities are required. A self-starting, resourceful, mid-career assessment professional with attention to detail, decision-making abilities, and a capacity to organize people is the ideal candidate.

In collaboration with IRDS, support development of shared reports and dashboards that communicate clear assessment results to a variety of audiences including university leadership, college and program administrators, faculty, and accreditors
In collaboration with IRDS, college leadership, and Provost’s Office staff, review, monitor and communicate assessment standards and expectations to ensure compliance with institutional and program accreditation requirements
Contribute to the design and implement strategies to create systematic, sustainable and cohesive assessment processes across the university, including annual and periodic academic program review;
Contribute to guidance regarding research design, research methods, and assessment terms
In collaboration with IRDS, organize, manage and maintain a central repository of assessment evidence at the institutional level, as well as documentation of the use of the results;
