TENURE-TRACK PROFESSOR IN DEVELOPMENTAL COGNITIVE SCIENCE Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Psychology Cambridge, MA The Department of Psychology seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor, to begin July 1, 2022. We seek candidates with expertise in developmental cognitive science, broadly conceived. Our interest is less in specific topic areas or methods than in the innovation and excellence of the applicant’s research program. For instance, in addition to experimental behavioral research on human children, successful candidates might employ cognitive neuroscience, animal cognition, cross-cultural work (international or within the U.S.), or computational modeling, among other approaches. Topics of study might include: conceptual representation, social cognition, reasoning, decision-making, perception, action planning or language, among others. We seek candidates whose research complements research already going on in the Department, taking it in clearly new directions. Candidates must have a strong doctoral record and have completed their Ph.D. Teaching duties will include offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A strong, demonstrated commitment to teaching and advising is desired. Candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply.
