This is a distinguished position providing a candidate the opportunity to expand their impact on students’ lives, our business community, and to advance the mission of the Greehey School of Business.

The desired applicant should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree in a Business Discipline from an AACSB accredited university and hold at least the rank of Associate Professor with enough experience to merit tenure. Exceptions to a Ph.D. in business will be made for candidates with extensive professional experience. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and across multiple instructional modalities. The teaching load will be one course per semester. Consistent with AACSB requirements, the candidate will exhibit a track record of scholarly productivity. A commitment to service is expected.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative and collaborative leader, who has demonstrated experience in leading and developing successful traditional graduate programs in business, has an excellent understanding of market-responsive curriculum design, and can implement online and blended modalities including emerging program delivery models. The candidate will be joining at an exciting time contributing meaningfully to the new Greehey School’s Second Century Plan: Celebrating Our Second Century of Transformation strategic plan.

Additionally, the Director will be charged with strengthening recruitment by adding new, cutting-edge graduate business programs to the academic portfolio mix and engaging in extensive interaction with industry to develop pipeline partnerships that help meet the workforce needs of local and regional employers. The Director will spend a good portion of their time relationship building with corporate, non-profit and governmental professionals and the academic profession.

The candidate is also expected to understand program marketing, work with experienced marketing professionals to develop marketing strategies, design and track program metrics, support curriculum development and engage in other strategic and tactical initiatives. An understanding of AACSB International accreditation standards is a plus. The Director reports to the Dean of the Greehey School of Business.

The Greehey School of Business is AACSB accredited and is recognized for its collegial faculty and staff culture and its student-centered approach to business education. The Greehey School of Business enrolls about 650 students. The undergraduate level offers a BBA with majors in Accounting, Accounting and Data Analytics, Business and Law (new major), Finance and Risk Management, Management, Marketing, and International Business. At the graduate level, the school offers an MBA for Professionals (MBA-P) program. Class sizes are small, with an average faculty to student ratio of 1:17. The School has an excellent academic reputation and a very successful alumni base engaged with the School and the University.
