Department of Economics

The Department of Economics at Saint Mary’s University invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. The position is open to any sub-field in economics, however there is a preference for Applied Macroeconomics, Macroeconomic Theory and Econometrics. Candidates with a demonstrated record in research and teaching in these fields are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have completed, or be near completion of, a PhD in economics, and have excellent qualifications for research and teaching in our graduate and undergraduate programs. Candidates must have a commitment to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion as it pertains to research activities, teaching and service. The appointment will commence July 1, 2023.

The Department of Economics consists of 12 full-time faculty members who deliver core courses to the Undergraduate and Graduate programs in the Sobey School of Business.
