Academic Advisor

Oregon State University’s College of Engineering has seen significant enrollment growth for the past three years, and to help our incredible students succeed, we are growing our academic advising community. We seek individuals to be a part of our first-year advising team, assisting students in their transition to college and helping them purposefully explore all the majors we offer. We are also seeking individuals passionate about working with students towards degree completion, experiential learning, and much more through Corvallis Campus and Ecampus by joining the advising team in EECS.

As an advisor, you’ll guide students through their academic journey, monitoring their progress and offering expert advice on academic success strategies, career planning, course selection, and degree completion. Your coordination with various university departments will contribute to the seamless alignment of academic courses with degree programs.

Our advisors work with student information systems and data sources, giving you the opportunity to make data-informed decisions and prepare reports that improve our academic services. You’ll also stay up-to-date with the latest university policies and regulations to better assist students in meeting their academic requirements.
