CHAIR AND CLINICAL FACULTY, INTEGRATED MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
New York University School of Professional Studies
Division of Programs in Business

The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Chair and Clinical faculty of Integrated Marketing and Communications for the Division of Programs in Business, effective Fall 2023.

The Chair will oversee the Integrated Marketing and Communications department and will participate in setting the strategic direction for the vertical and coordinate graduate curricula across programs. S/he will also be responsible for managing the departmental continuing education portfolio, establishing academic partnerships with external stakeholders, organizing and administering conferences and events that include industry professionals to enhance student learning and/or career opportunities, participating in fundraising efforts and securing scholarships, coordinating student trips abroad, and managing alumni relations. Additionally, the Chair will teach within the graduate program.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Programs in Business, the Chair will collaborate with the Assistant Dean and Academic Directors of graduate programs; supervise the administrative teams of the department; and oversee all administration of departmental academic operations including course scheduling and syllabi management.

This full-time faculty position is a nine-month appointment with a two-year renewable faculty contract; the Chair role is a concurrent eleven-month administrative appointment. The rank of the position is dependent upon experience and qualifications.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 – $165,000 as well as an administrative stipend of $10,000 – $80,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a committed educator, with evidence of meaningful contributions in industry and academia. S/he will possess advanced academic credentials (Ph.D., or other advanced terminal degree), and a minimum of five years of substantial direct experience relevant to the position. Expertise and familiarity with the fields of marketing and public relations are required. We seek an individual with professional or administrative experience who can oversee academic content and delivery in alignment with current industry needs and emerging trends in the field. Faculty members should have experience working with a diverse base of professionals and teaching a diverse population of students.  Prior teaching experience is required.
