Faculty Position: Lecturer
Indiana University School of Nursing Fort Wayne (IUSON-FW) seeks qualified candidates for a lecturer faculty position. The lecturer would be responsible for teaching undergraduate clinical and didactic courses. The IUSON-FW has a wide variety of course instruction needs, such as Community, OB, Psych, Acute Care, Peds, Critical Care and Medical-Surgical Nursing. Emphasis will be placed on teaching experience and fit with available courses. Scholarship of teaching and service are expectations to advance on the lecturer track. At IU Fort Wayne, IU’s School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, School of Social Work, School of Health and Human Sciences, and Department of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences work together to create a unique health sciences environment based right here in one of the largest medical communities in the region.
Qualified applicants must hold a master’s degree in nursing and have recent clinical experience in the area of teaching responsibilities. Experience in baccalaureate nursing education is preferred. The successful candidate must be licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure. Appointment to academic rank and salary are dependent on evidence of scholarly achievement, teaching, and clinical experience.
The IUSON-FW is looking for scholars who will contribute to our commitment to engage the city, state, nation and beyond through teaching, scholarship and service, in consideration of the rich diversity of our campus and city as we prepare our graduates to enter and lead in an increasingly complex world.
