Head of Industry Relations and Major Initiatives Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cambridge, MA Full time The MIT Center for Real Estate (MIT/CRE) seeks a head of industry relations and major initiatives to provide direct management and oversight of the center’s Industry Partnership Program, comprised of thirty to thirty-five global commercial real estate companies. Responsibilities will include stewarding CRE’s current partners and cultivating new mutually beneficial relationships between the center and companies in the built environment and the real estate industry for the purpose of generating revenue to support the center’s major Initiatives and its intellectual, research, and educational missions. The MIT/CRE consists of a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and team-oriented group of faculty, staff, researchers, and graduate students. It is known for its world-renowned graduate degree program, offering a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Development. The MIT/CRE is also a research center that includes four world-class research labs: Sustainable Urbanization Lab, Real Estate Innovation Lab, Real Estate Price Dynamics Platform and Urban Economics Lab. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • At least five years of experience in the real estate industry or a field related to the built environment • Demonstrated experience with business development and adeptness at networking and relationship management • Excellent organizational, customer service, presentation, and written communications skills • Discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in real estate or field related to the built environment • Experience with a CRM platform such as Salesforce Interested candidates may apply online at https://hr.mit.edu/careers.
