Job Description

Summary

To prepare and monitor non-student related billings to support grants, contracts and other billings across a range of University Departments.  In addition, process reports, prepare journal entries and maintain databases to support the accounting and budget office.

Primary Duties

-Prepare and submit post-award invoices and/or financial reports to support grants and contracts
-Collect information needed to track, record and collect on other receivables owed to the University
-Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
-Prepare related journal entries for the accounting and budget office
-Prepare and assist with monthly and quarterly reports
-Assist budget office with creation, maintenance and monitoring of positions and their budgets
-Performs other duties as required/assigned by the accounting or budget office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Bachelor’s degree in a related field
-A minimum three years of related experience in Accounting, Receivables or Sponsored Awards
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with students, faculty and staff
-Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to complete projects on a timely basis and manage multiple priorities
-Attention to detail and reconciliation experience
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Access

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.  Some travel may be required.
