POSTION OVERVIEW

The Director of Drucker Recruitment is a key leadership position within the Drucker School of Management, responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidates to and grow a portfolio of business programs offered by the school. Reporting directly to the Dean and serving as part of the Drucker’s leadership team, the Director will also have a dotted line relationship with Admissions and Marketing, collaborating closely to align recruitment efforts with overall CGU marketing and admissions goals.

The Director of Drucker Recruitment oversees all aspects of admissions recruitment and outreach efforts for the Drucker School of Management, which includes communications, prospect and application management, front-end customer service activities, and coaching Drucker recruiters to success. The position requires a strong partnership with the Director of CGU Admissions. Both will work collaboratively to align admissions recruitment strategies, and activities. The Director of Drucker Recruitment will contribute to the culture and goals of the CGU admissions team. The Director will use data to drive decision-making and identify opportunities to generate robust student recruitment.

The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial with a successful track-record of achieving enrollment targets and nurturing relationships within the region to create new pipelines of students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaborative Strategy Development

• Develops strategic recruitment outreach plans/programs and timetables in collaboration with the Dean and CGU Director of Admissions to support the school’s overall enrollment goals, growth and its strategic plan. Analyze recruitment data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Jointly devise short-term and long-term strategies to achieve enrollment goals, growth and enhance the overall reputation of the Drucker School of Management with the Dean, CGU Director of Admissions, and university marketing.
• Actively participates and collaborates with Enrollment Services leadership (CGU Director of Financial Aid, CGU Director of Office of Student Engagement, and CGU Admissions) in related meetings, events, committees, and other venues to ensure alignment with enrollment service activities and goals.

Outreach and Engagement

• Executes recruitment activities both on and off campus and online. Assesses recruiting effectiveness. Recommends and develops new approaches to attracting the most competitive students to the University.
• Directly and indirectly recruits for the Drucker School of Management’s portfolio of degree and certificate programs by building relationships with prospective students and potential university partners to identify and develop pipelines to achieve enrollment targets.

Team Leadership and Development

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support recruiters, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Collaboratively organize training sessions to keep the team informed about current trends and best practices.

Admissions Process Management

• In collaboration with the CGU Director of Admissions, develops and implements operational processes and procedures that enhance and improve the applicant experience. Advances efficiencies within the admissions department. Implements various technological and/or workflow improvements as needed.

Marketing

• In consultation with university marketing, oversees the development of recruitment materials aligned with the vision of the Drucker School brand (e.g., office communications, training programs, swag, materials, manuals) to facilitate consistent recruitment efforts.

Relationship Building

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, alumni, corporate and community partners, current and future educational partners (Southwestern Law School, Art Center College of Design, the Claremont Colleges, etc.) and industry leaders, to support recruitment efforts and enhance the program’s reputation.
• Serve as a brand ambassador for Drucker’s programs, promoting its values, culture, and unique offerings to prospective candidates.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Strong knowledge of marketing and admissions strategies in the higher education sector.
• Sales life cycle experience – lead generation through business closing with proven track record for achieving targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing, are needed, along with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the academic community, students, staff and key external stakeholders.
• Confidence and competence with public speaking and presentation.
• Record of team leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and self-disciplined.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, “SLATE,” and other recruitment technologies is desirable.
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required for recruitment events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years proven experience in MBA, business, and/or graduate recruitment, preferably in a managerial, sales, or leadership role preferred. Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Must have a willingness to travel as needed during peak recruiting seasons. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and meet CGU’s authorized driver’s requirements.

• LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: Driver’s license; passport.
• OTHER PREFERENCES: Master’s degree; CGU alumnus/a.

OTHER:

1. HOURS: This is an exempt position with regular hours set for 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional hours will be required on weekends and evenings and periodic travel through the year may be assigned.
If approved by the department head the employee may be eligible for up to two days during the workweek of remote work in accordance with all aspects of the University’s current remote work policy.
