The Division of Behavioral and Organization Sciences (DBOS) at Claremont Graduate University is seeking to fill a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the assistant or associate level who is an evaluation practitioner with experience and/or interest in teaching graduate-level evaluation courses, developing and running real-world evaluation projects, chairing and serving on student committees, and training and mentoring graduate students in evaluation practice. The Division of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences (DBOS) at Claremont Graduate University has a Ph.D. Program in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods, M.A. co-concentration programs in Evaluation with Positive Organizational, Developmental, and Health Psychology, Organizational Behavior, and Public Health, an online M.S. program in Evaluation and Applied Research, and encourages transdisciplinary teaching and scholarship. The Claremont Evaluation Center (CEC) supports millions of dollars in evaluation contracts and grants, and professional development programs including The Evaluators’ Institute (TEI). Candidates’ portfolio of work should contribute to one or more of our graduate degree programs, and ideally contribute to the CEC’s portfolio of activities. The ideal candidate should work effectively in team environments, be able to teach in-person, online, and in hybrid modalities, be familiar with evaluation as a transdiscipline and a range of evaluation theories, and be active in professional evaluation associations such as the American Evaluation Association or other national or international associations. We especially encourage evaluators with defined specialty areas such as culturally responsive, systems, organizational, economic, international, cross-cultural, and social justice focused evaluation to apply. The successful candidate also will demonstrate experience and/or capacity for working with a diverse student body.
CGU is an independent institution devoted entirely to graduate study. The city of Claremont is a charming small town located 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and less than 50 miles from Southern California beaches. CGU is a member of The Claremont Colleges, a highly regarded cluster of seven independent colleges.
