Job Description

Capital University seeks a passionate science educator with specialization in the areas of comparative vertebrate anatomy for a full-time term faculty position in the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the curriculum and will be responsible for teaching fifteen (15) contact hours each fall and spring semester. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and upper-level courses, including comparative vertebrate anatomy, and human anatomy and physiology courses for allied health majors. The candidate may also have the opportunity to provide instruction in the University’s Signature Learning program.

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching and preference will be given to applicants that incorporate evidence-based teaching practices in their classrooms.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the curriculum, participate in departmental and campus service, and further contribute to an undergraduate student-centered research program.
