Hope Street Postdoctoral Fellowship

The School of Engineering at Brown University seeks applications from exceptionally talented researchers who aspire to careers as academic leaders, creating independent research, and pursuing pathways to discovery and innovation. Eligible applicants will have completed their Ph.D. studies in engineering or engineering-related fields by July 2024.

Applications will be considered from scholars working in the areas of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Fluids and Thermal Sciences, Materials Science, and Solid Mechanics. Successful applicants will be selected based on an evaluation of their promise as future academic leaders. They will be expected to carry out independent and collaborative research with engineering faculty members. Prospective Fellows should identify a faculty member (or collaborative group of faculty) in Brown’s School of Engineering to serve as mentor to the applicant’s prospective research project. Hope Street Postdoctoral Fellows receive an annual salary plus benefits, and a travel stipend. The anticipated start date for these full-time positions is July/August 2024. The initial appointment is for one year, with an expected renewal for a second year given satisfactory progress.
