Location: Remote

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $100k – 115k

Full Salary Range: The full salary range for the position is $100k – 120k

 

Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the university.

We are seeking an Associate Provost for Strategic Partnerships and Innovation to work remotely on a full-time 37.5-hour per week basis.

 

Summary

The Associate Provost for Strategic Partnerships and Innovation (SPI) is a member of the Academic Leadership Team who identifies and develops opportunities at the edge of Fielding’s portfolio of expertise to drive strategic growth, identify and steward partnership relationships that expand Fielding’s capabilities and opportunities, and establish goals and project plans to ensure the success of partnership goals. The AP for SPI takes an entrepreneurial posture to leverage current and prospective partnerships with higher ed, industry, non-governmental, governmental, and non-profit organizations to generate revenue (i.e., tuition, grants, and donations) via research and training grants-seeking and award, and academic and professional development program and training.  The AP for SPI works alongside the Provost and her team to articulate a viable business model for Fielding’s expanded portfolio with relevant return on investment (e.g., enrollment in academic and professional develop programs, external funding for research and training, and contracts for Fielding’s professional development offerings and other trainings consistent with Fielding’s portfolio) and facilitates communications and promotion of Fielding’s projects to generate interest in partnerships by amplifying Fielding’s impact and reach.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree, preferably in education, organizational development, and/or business or public administration from an accredited institution.

 

EXPERIENCE: (Amount and kind)

5-7 years of experience in strategic partnership, business development, strategy development, or strategic sales and account management roles within higher education, not-for-profit, and related context.

•   Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with institutional partners.

•   Experience in the federal government contracting and/or other industry.

•   Demonstrated ability to articulate a vision and build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders.

•   Demonstrated experience executing outstanding communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) including to executive and Board level audiences.

•   Demonstrated experience being in alignment with and representing the social justice, equity, JEDI, access, and opportunity mission and values of an institution/organization to enhance intentional growth.

•   Actively involved and networked with professional associations and organizations aligned with Fielding’s portfolio of programmatic expertise.
